About Me

I'm a junior front-end developer in Cincinnati (Go Bengals! Bengals football team logo) with a desire to learn and grow my programmming skills. Since 2020 I have been learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript and since then I have become skilled in React and the Astro JS framework. I'm excited to work with a team that will challenge me to learn more and become a better developer.

This is a site for a client who has a wind turbine business. It's a simple static site, but the implementation of a video player and photo gallery helps to make this site more impressive and exciting to look at.

One of my more indepth projects from 2021 was #VANLIFE. It's a responsive site where you can look through a list of vans available for renting and even login (email - b@b.com, password - p123) to see the vans that you are currently selling. This site uses Firebase and routing with React.

If you are using Developer mode in chrome extensions you can import files and make personal extensions. I used it to make my own Chrome "Homepage" when a new tab is created. With the use of APIs I can keep an eye on stocks, current temperature in my area, the weather and have frequently visited links displayed right infront of me. An API chooses a random background image from Unsplash based on keywords I give it for a pleasent viewing experience.

There is one common issue I come across when developing a site or working on almost any project and that is what colors should I use? If I already have a color in mind, my next question is, what are some other colors that go with it? There are a lot of sites you can go to that have color palettes but it's more impressive to make and use your own color palette generator.
